Article 371 in Kashmir demand continues to explain Modi policy

Article 371 in Kashmir demand continues to explain Modi policy

Abrogating the Article 370 and doing away with 35A in respect of Jammu & Kashmir is a corrupt policy. A muscular nationalism that betrays cavalier attitude of the Government. This is injurious to the very nationalism. Article 370 is different from that of 35A. By removing 35A, Modi – Shah duo are making room for realtors to buy J&K lands. As majority of J&K people are indigent and impecunious, they would become easy prey to avaricious land-sharks from other states.

In no time, J&K people would be reduced to hewers of wood and drawers of water. The so-called investors buy the lands with bank loans at a throw-away price and set up establishments. More often than not, they go for public issue and mulct the money. Local people will become coolies, cooks, peons and at best, clerks. Is this development? Asks experts from Telangana State.

Development problem After Article 370 Revoked

In the name of development, unity, integrity and security, the Government abrogated not only Article 370 but also 35A.  You cannot throw out the baby with the bathe water. Modi – Shah duo have been asserting that in the wake of partition of India in 1947 many refugees had migrated to J&K from Pakistan and they have not been given citizenship rights. If that were so, what the citizenship exercise is in Assam for? Is it not a communal divide?

As J&K is now a Union Territory (UT), the Central government will impose Hindi. The ostensible aim of making J&K as a Union Territory is to develop the area and usher in peace, prosperity and tranquility. But the real goal is to make Kashmir people as minorities in their own state.

About Articles in Various States

Presently, Article 371A prohibits anyone who is not a resident from buying land in Nagaland. This may only be bought by tribals who are residents of the state, not even Telangana lambadas, chenchus and other STs. No one from outside cannot buy lands in Nagaland.

Article 371F Sikkim Special Rights states: “Neither the Supreme Court nor any other Court shall have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute or any other matter arising out of treaty, agreement”. In addition to that, others cannot buy the land.

Article 371G – In Mizoram, where in also outsiders cannot buy lands.

Article 371E – Himalchal Pradesh: Non-residents cannot buy land.

So is the case with Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.

Hence, the demand to Government of India to include J&K in the Article 371 continues. Even in employment, local reservation rule should be implemented lest J&K youth can become vagabonds. J & K youth will suffer a lot for not getting any good employment. Even in employment, both in public and private sector, locals should be given priority. Deliberately, Government of India made J&K as UT so that other states youth can also apply and get jobs. This is a dangerous thing. The demand also states to Modi-Shah duo to get Kashmir language paper compulsory. And in the recruitment of all examinations.
