Konda Vishweshwar Reddy targets Telangana State’s weakness

A gathering of Presidents and office bearers of Hyderabad’s Gated Community Association, at Hotel Avasa was held. Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Congress Chevella MP Candidate spoke at the occasion. He said, Hyderabad is number one with highest quality of living in the Country. Accordingly as per mercer quality of living rankings, Hyderabad tops but on ground the city lacks basic civic amenities. Mr Reddy explained.

Drinking Water Scarcity

In Hyderabad, first of all there is a severe shortage of drinking water, be it an apartment or slum area. The Government which promised water to each house, is not even in a position to ensure a bucket full of water. The roads in the city are in a bad shape, the lakes are polluted.

No dearth of Funds

People are baffled as to what has happened after we gained statehood? Especially with statehood our revenues remain here with Telangana State, even the city has no dearth of funds. In fact, in Telangana State, 30% of the population is urban. The civic infrastructure is crumbling with increasing population. Meanwhile, association members also expressed distress at the bad state of affairs in Hyderabad.

Telangana Govt needs to be Questioned

Mr Reddy also said, “in the last four years I represented the issues raised with the Government, but there still none to listen. To understand and act upon the issues, government should have taken immediate efforts. They have become callous and are taking the people for granted. To wake them up from slumber, there has to be someone to question them”.

Konda Vishweshwar Reddy’s Purpose of Quitting

Furthermore, he went on to say, “the reason for my quitting  the ruling party was inevitable and I delayed it. And somehow there was a reverse migration of leaders to the ruling party. As a regional party MP, you are neither heard in the parliament or in the State”. Mr Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, being as an MP of a national party and one from the ruling party in Center looked worried. His intention was to target KCR government at the end to highlight KCR’s negatives, it was observed. Hence there was the necessity for him to quit and he did so, he added.

However, it was better for him to show the ability to exert pressure on State administration, amicably.
