Ever since Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has taken up the powers, tourism in India showed a new low. Why this happened? The reasons are too many to discuss about. Firstly, there were cases of surgical strikes, mob attacks, and protests right from the year 2014. Communal violence paved the way to create a huge impact on foreigners to hesitate for India visits.
India’s typical tourism menu shows neither Taj Mahal, Golconda, Charminar etc nor any brave Muslims like Tipu Sultan made palaces. Whether this can hit India hard over such manipulation needs to think about. The worry is Muslim rulers were ignored by the BJP and that led to the drastic fall of the tourists. Tourism Industry in India is troubled by the communal show off by the BJP to please just one community. There has been no issues for the majority of the population in India from BJP but the minorities been hurt.
Minorities have not stood up yet to show their presence and are being hit hard with communal thinking. Thousands of Muslims were killed and were arrested for no valid reason under BJP. Muslims as well as Christians and including the Sikhs are not happy under BJP.
The climbing of the fall of tourism is of concern because of such marketing that BJP do to remain in power. It was known from the PM’s speeches that he told to the majority indicating minorities shouldn’t live in fear. Indications such as these truly point to understand how the PM’s point of view goes and where. Anyway, India’s growth in all sectors highly important than playing games of divide and rule.
