Auto driver Chander tries to burn himself in demand for 2 bedroom house…
An auto driver attempted self-immolation in front of Pragati Bhavan on Friday. He was in demand to provide him a double-bedroom house from the Telangana gov’t. The auto driver identified as Mr Chander reached Pragati Bhavan on Friday morning and doused himself with kerosene.
Auto driver Chander demanded the government to provide him a double-bedroom house. This is one of the projects launched by the Telangana government. The police on duty at the Chief Minister’s camp office foiled the suicide bid of the man and took him into custody. Eventually, his demand is not accepted because of such attempt or an act of cowardice.
Telangana gov’t told attempts to suicide or hunger strikes are not the protests that people will be allowed to do. They should demand in other reasonable ways because if everyone does these kind of tricks then who would be responsible? And their family members always will be hurt if anything had happened to the auto driver Chander.
An extreme step was foiled. And this step of self burning is a nuisance. It needs proper awareness to keep people away from committing suicides for such of their demands. It’s highly condemned. This shows a wrong picture, which is unacceptable.
