Imran Khan concerned for COVID-19 in Pak as positive cases increase

Imran Khan concerned for COVID-19. Why not? He’s the Prime Minister of Pakistan and he said: “Pakistan’s second COVID-19 spike data is of concern. Increase in Covid-19 patients, and on ventilators in last 15 days. And includes huge spike for Peshawar 200%, Multan 200%, Karachi 148%, Lahore 114%, Islamabad 65%. Multan & Islamabad Covid-19 ventilator capacity utilized 70%. Across the world there is a second spike”.

However, Mr. Khan is not going for a lockdown in Pakistan as it would hit Pakistan’s economy badly. Many followers of Imran Khan also supported him in this case. He also said that: “I do not want to take measures like a lockdown that will start hurting our economy. And which at the moment is showing signs of a robust recovery. Unfortunately, the opposition’s only goal is NRO at whatever cost to the lives of people & the country’s economy”.

Mr. Khan also lamented that: “Opposition is callously destroying people’s lives & livelihoods in their desperation to get an NRO. Let me make it clear: They can hold a million jalsas (Functions) but will not get any NRO. The intent of the Pakistani PM is clear. PM Imran Khan is concerned for COVID-19 in Pakistan and at the same time he has to deal with opposition too.
