The final day of the fourth test between India and England will be interesting. India was bowled out for 191 in their first innings. England will be regretting over their decision to bowl first after winning the toss. However, England did played well in their first innings, scoring about 100 runs more than what India scored. England also was bowled out at score of 291. In England’s second innings, there will be an uphill task for England as India in their second innings played good cricket. India scored 466.
Earlier, on fourth day, English openers took-time and played defensive cricket scoring just 77 without loss off 32 overs. India opted to keep Shardul Thakur for the final day. Carried bowling Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav along with Ravindra Jadeja later on. The Indian captain Virat Kohli also used Mohammed Siraj a bit late.
That was where India failed to take a wicket or two at the end of day four. India also was defensive while Indian captain wants the bowlers not to attack too much. India is looking for bowling right as there will be an uphill task for England to battle out the final day. It’s not a do or die situation for both teams.
If India could snatch victory then it would be a goodbye for England from any comeback. The series will be in India’s hand as the last test will be played again defensively. A series leveler would still mean a lot for India while India will be on top. This final days cricket is after all in favor of India if the captaincy is good enough. England needs 291 runs on the final in 90 overs, which looks tough.
