IPL To Benefit India More After Kiwis Abandon Playing In Pakistan

New Zealand just 2 hours before the cricket match couldn’t afford to continue staying in Pakistan anymore. Kiwis left Pakistan yesterday as all three format cricket matches as scheduled to go on peacefully, surprisingly abandoned. IPL cricket in UAE will benefit India more as Pakistan and New Zealand viewers would now shift towards IPL. The IPL will resume the second half of the cash rich tournament from tomorrow, Sept 19. No doubt, Indian Premier League or IPL to benefit India more since Kiwis or Blackcaps left Pakistan without a single ball bowled. However, New Zealanders provided no legit reasons when asked.

They said it’s because of security alerts. It’s blessing in disguise for cricket lovers from India. Also more viewers will watch all IPL matches without bothering about what’s happening in any corner of the cricket world including Pakistan. India has gained a lot when Kiwis have pulled out, which will hit Pakistan very hard. Pakistan has lost a lot since cricket in the most cricket crazy nation was returned recently. Pakistan cricket fans shocked while it’s all gains for India. Earlier, India was in a bit of bother when IPL have to bear with (the wiped off) New Zealand vs Pakistan series. Had the cricket series in Pakistan played including T20s then there wouldn’t be more viewers for IPL.

It was not clear still that why New Zealanders claimed there were security threats? So, Pakistan PM Khan, who is in Tajikistan, spoke to New Zealand PM Jacinda. She replied: “It’s security issue”. That’s it and Mr. Khan though disappointed, didn’t try to convince. New Zealanders in Pakistan were since 6 days freely moving around prior to first cricket match. It was a good stay for them without any threat. But they left Pakistan, much to the disappointments.

What Others Say…

Senior US political reporter for Daily-Mail (Before that Afghanistan and Pakistan for Daily Telegraph, old Africa hand, author of Saving Darfur), Rob Crilly Tweeted: “I lived in Pakistan from 2010-2014. I never lived anywhere safer. Very disappointing to read about NZ cricket team pulling out of tour based on vague government warning”.

Also few Australian, West Indian, and English cricketers too tweeted in support of Pakistan. However, India’s cricketers are still silent. That’s good.
