Some cows given shelter, which means being tied up so tightly that the rope embeds in their flesh. Poor ventilation, darkness and lot of sufferings to the cows come in their way when cows not let free to graze.

Hygiene is also important for the animals but it was learned that cow farms are filthy. Cows in India not to be mentioned as animals, often slip in their own unhygienic urine and cow dung, etc. It was also learned that almost all dairies in India have sick, injured and distressed cattle.

There are goshalas established in India to take care of these cows, but conditions here can be worse than on farms.
