Women Suffer More From Depression than Men

According to WHO (World Health Organization), depression is a common illness worldwide. An estimated 3.8% of the population affected, including 5.0% among adults and 5.7% among adults older than 60 years. However an approximate figure known to be about 280 million of the people suffer from depression throughout the World. Both males and females suffer from depression due to family history and work-pressure or sleeplessness. Women suffer more from depression than men, it was learned.

Depression is not as people think. It’s not a usual mood fluctuation. There maybe short-lived emotional responses to challenges in everyday life. But when depression go unnoticed and not treated timely then it can become a serious health condition.

The affected persons, mostly women suffer more from depression than men because men have the ability to fight. Often women suffering from depression commit or attempt suicides. Adults or children poor at work, or at school and in the family get-togethers often suffer a lot from verbal abuse. This also can lead to depression in adults and children. However, women couldn’t bear depression and also don’t prefer treatment.

It’s shocking and sad to know that depression can lead to suicides. More than 700 thousand people die due to suicide every year. Suicide is the fourth in the top ten leading causes of death among 15-29-year-olds.

Women affected from depression often not correctly diagnosed. But others who do not have depression are too often misdiagnosed and prescribed antidepressants. This can lead to severe mental sickness. Proper diagnosis always the need in today’s advanced lifestyle, where limited physical activities, a concern.

How to save women from depression

With or without family history of depression both men and women could be saved from depression. Women deserve more to be treated nicely. Trust your partner if she’s worthy of trust. You’ll in return will be trusted and also women will listen to you whatever good you say them to do. Do not panic over their odd behavior. Argument can lead to fights and insults. Self-respect and self-esteem matters most to the women. Be kind to them when they experience menstruation and let them speak more than you stopping them doing so. Take them out once in a week or twice in a month or spend more time with them on weekends. Don’t control their social media just to be too keen to know what they do if you trust them.

Don’t mock at their relatives or parents. If you earn good money then spend on your spouses and children more than others. Be nice to them when they’ve to go through their seven days of menstrual cycle. Let them feel happy if not always then be sure to have friendly relationship. Trust them if they deserve to be trusted. Be polite and humble. Also don’t spend too much time with them discussing everything about yourself or spending time just for time-pass. You can have a good time even with others and spend a little but sufficient time with them to keep making them if not happy than confident.

Listen to their queries, but ignore whatever they complain. Just don’t listen to women, who complain because this way you’re discouraging complaints. This is good and thus do a bit everyday some good to save women from depression. Whatever they cook if you don’t like then tell them this isn’t good nicely.
