A man was looking for a job in the United Kingdom as he was earlier already seen life in UK. He completed his further studies in the UK in 2013. And not to waste his degree, he went to Mumbai for a job visa processing. He contacted a job visa consultancy, which used to provide job opportunities in the UK. Also he successfully passed the interview.
Yes, he was selected for a job in the UK, but shocking to his knowledge that someone filed a case against the consultancy. It’s a hotel business bold story, but you need to know the beginning too. The case was against the consultancy, which started charging some amount to process job visas.
Earlier, the consultancy used to provide free job visa service and was a reputed company. Yes, the consultancy used to make money out of the salaries of the candidates in terms of a commission. The commission is its (consultancy’s) earning. The consultancy started charging some money as this particular man also hurriedly gave the money asked to him. That was his bad luck when the consultancy had to be shutdown.
The man cannot believe as he was selected on high paying job, and also cannot return back to UK. He went to UK in 2010 and returned after completing his studies in 2013. Again, in 2015, he wanted to go UK, once he was stopped from doing job in Saudi Arabia in the year 2013. There was a quick debate and that ended when the man brought back his passport from the Saudi Arabia job provider consultant. So, his plans were clear. He went to Bangalore as an aspiring hotel manager, but he ended up running two hotels one after the other. The job as a hotel manager turned towards him to buy a hotel, and then he did the same hotel business at another location in Bangalore. He’s the author so he is “I”, “I’m” or “me” and so on from here. As soon as I went to Bangalore in search of a hotel manager job, I successfully did run a news channel Taazi News. I was happy with the success of Taazi News and another one, New Waah. But again, I was cheated by one SEO person, who used to work for me. I had to do something good. Finally, I landed in Bangalore.
I met Haneef Kazi and Shafi Kazi. They both interviewed me and appreciated my knowledge and ability to manage hotel business. The younger brother of Shafi Kazi, is Haneef Kazi, who kept me in his home for about a month. Everyday in the mornings he used to take me to different places. He told me if I can run a hotel in such locations, which I didn’t liked just because there was no parking facilities.
Later, Haneef Kazi introduced me to one business owner of a hotel in new Bangalore, Mr. Ashwaq after I liked the location and parking facilities. Mr. Ashwaq has some problems with his hotel, not running successfully, but he didn’t disclosed this huge problem. However, customers were happy with food served in his hotel and there were quite good sales.
I was offered to purchase the restaurant at a reasonable price but it was too much higher. However, I managed to do so. My first struggle to run a hotel after I purchased hotel business started. There I found too many hurdles.
My First Struggle
I was unable to find good staff, initially though my relatives kept on asking me when’s the opening. Disturbed interviewing so many cooks and waiters because I didn’t liked their work. Anyway after I spent huge money to renovate and repair the damages, I did the opening. The damages should have been ignored. I wanted a perfect, neat and clean hotel to run the business on my own. Slowly, within a month, I found electricity problem.
The wiring connection was wrong in the premises of my hotel. What I found was a huge electricity bill and some pending bills too. I paid that huge amount of electricity bill and tried to contact the previous hotel owner, Mr. Ashwaq. He didn’t picked my call.
The next electricity bill also was very high. I was shocked and called an electrician. Fortunately, the electrician was very good and he corrected the wiring, digging the walls. So, the electricity bill fixed and I got very less bill in the next month and so on. My hotel was running successfully as I used to spend 16 hours in the hotel, everyday. What was wrong then?
The water men from the govt cut the water connection because of 8 years of pending water bill not paid. The struggle, and my first struggle continued. I managed to escape from the chaos and worries of this hotel, and started another hotel at old Bangalore with a different name.
Why I Preferred To Sell My First Hotel To Start A New Hotel Business ?
My first hotel after so much hard work was going good with sales increasing day by day. There were few problems when next to my Non Veg hotel there’s still a Vegetarian hotel, and the owner of the Vegetarian hotel used to complain a lot about the Non Veg smell, not good for his customers. A lot of other problems again started. I sold my first hotel at new Bangalore back to the original owner. He was happy to see everything was fine and electricity, water and other problems solved. He paid me the amount which I still fighting to get.
The checks he handed me bounced. I fought hard for the checks, which bounced, but he took police protection. That’s the way I left my first hotel in huge loss and started another hotel with a different name at old Bangalore.
There too the struggles continued. Here, after I conclude my first struggle at new Bangalore, I would add more about my second struggle, which is of my second hotel’s. Second hotel at old Bangalore become famous because of lower prices and good tasty food. I’ll write more. For now also read below:
