India won toss to everything you must know about India fighting hard

India won toss to everything you must know about this crucial ODI. The ODI (One-Day-International) is crucial and a good toss for South Africa to lose as KL Rahul decides to bat first. The temperature in the morning is about 30 degrees centigrade. The Boland Park pitch will be good for both bowling side and for the batting side. So, India won toss to everything in short to begin with this yet another story, a surprise. India had to bowl first as the team India good in chasing. No matter what happened in the first ODI, where South Africa decided to bat first after winning the toss. It’s a decision and just an initial decision, but what if India lost the toss?

Had South Africa won the toss, and decided to bat first then India would be chasing nicely at this time. India is a good chaser, and any target would be good enough for India’s strong batting order. That said, but again no changes in the playing 11 for India can put pressure on the same team-India 11 from the other way batting second. KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan given India an ideal start. A good start for few others like Virat Kohli to come in and play natural game. Also Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer, and Rishabh Pant need to put some runs on the board this time as the crucial ODI in progress. If South Africa wins this ODI then ODI series will be lost from India’s hand. So, KL Rahul need to bat sensibly as a captain to level the series 1-1.

KL Rahul dropped by J. Malan off L. Ngidi in the ODI’s fifth over. Another chance for KL Rahul to bat at his level best from here on. The story begins from here.

The Story Begins…

India scored 42 runs in the first 6 overs as if playing a T20 match. It’s a good start and both openers playing with minimal risks to score quick runs. A high scoring match on the way. However, India’s run-rate gone down from more than 6 runs per over to just 5.7 runs per over in the 10th over. India were 57/0 off the first 10 overs. KL Rahul was dropped on 8, but keeps playing to score quick runs to put South Africa away from the game. India looking to take the game away from the hands of South Africa. India 49/0 off 8 overs and South Africa not in the game at that moment. Kudos to Rahul and Dhawan. South Africa unable to exert any pressure on the India’s opening pair.

Flow of quick runs becomes tough for India since the 15th over. Shikhar Dhawan got himself out caught in the deep by S. Magala bowled by A. Markram. India’s score reads 63/1 off 12 overs after Dhawan got out. Virat Kohli got out too without scoring. Virat Kohli caught T. Bavuma bowled K. Maharaj for 0. India lost two wickets at the score of 64/2 off 13 overs. It’s interesting to know India won toss to everything because South Africa did great fightback. Hope India wins this ODI to keep the ODI series alive and leveled at 1-1. However, South Africa back in the game.

KL Rahul got another chance as he was long way away from the crease to out, run-out. South Africa did comedy of errors. This happened in the 15th over. Rishabh Pant hits a big six off Keshav Maharaj in the 17th over of India’s innings. The game on as India won toss to everything coming up.

India won toss, but failed to reach 290 plus

KL Rahul didn’t make count too many chances given to him and ended up scoring just 55 off 79 balls. However, he played with Rishabh Pant to put up a good partnership. Rishabh Pant played a nice ODI innings, scored 85 off 71 balls. But he didn’t lasted long enough to score a century. India reached over 200 runs, and also over 13 overs to be bowled at that moment. It looked India will reach a total of more than 320. However, not reaching to a score of 290 plus wasn’t in favor of India to keep South Africa away and to comeback in the ODI series.

It also looked good when a good partnership was building up between Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer. However, Out! Shreyas Iyer leg-before-wicket to Tabrez Shamsi after scoring just 11 runs off 14 balls. At that moment Shardul Thakur walked in. Yet a long way to go in the ODI. Since the run-rate was 5.6 and over 13 overs to be bowled, it was easy for India to score 290 plus. The scoreboard not threatening South Africa as India kept on playing to finish the game.

The game will be on if Shardul Thakur scores a quick fifty to take India to at least over 290 plus. That was not possible as India looks towards Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin.

Is India likely to lose ODI series?

India won toss to everything depended upon Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and few others to score 290 plus. Shikhar Dhawan also failed, and got himself out playing a rash shot. This helped South Africa to restrict India’s run-flow or quick flow of runs to put pressure back on India. One batter again batted nicely, Rishabh Pant. One or two batters scoring fifties at the Boland Park’s batting friendly pitch not good. The best will be the team effort. Out! Venkatesh Iyer stumped! V. Iyer scored 22 off 33. A bit slow innings, and a very slow innings at the crucial stage. Ashwin walked in and played three dot balls before picking a single.

Shardul Thakur and earlier Rishabh Pant played some innings. This means the two batters played good cricket as others didn’t played to their potential. Here, India reached over 260 when Ashwin hits a SIX! off Maharaj.

In the end, India scored a total of 287/6, and it’s likely if top three India bowlers pick wickets. The other two bowlers also need not give easy quick runs. Pick wickets and restrict South Africa to keep the ODI series alive!
