Mahindra Group announced installment of Oxygen Plant

As part of its wide-ranging, empathetic response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Mahindra Group announced installment of a 500LPM Oxygen Plant. The plant to be installed at Government area General Hospital in Telangana. The Oxygen plant was inaugurated by T Harish Rao, Minister for Finance, Health, Medical & Family Welfare. Also in presence of V.S. Ram, Vice President, Mahindra Automotive, Zaheerabad and other government dignitaries.

On the occasion, Ruzbeh Irani, President – Group Human Resources and Communications, said: “The world is still recovering from COVID-19. The requirement for oxygen is still one of the perplexing challenges we face. Intending to emerge stronger from the pandemic, we at Mahindra have partnered with governments. Also to scale up medical infrastructure. Provide oxygen plants, oxygen concentrators, ambulances, and set up temporary COVID-19 care centers.”

The Mahindra Group announced support to the government of Telangana in the fight against COVID-19. In the past, the Group has donated two oxygen plants and twelve ambulances to various Government and public charitable hospitals. Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd provided 1000LPM Oxygen Plant for Telangana govt. General Hospital, Mahabubnagar and Tech Mahindra Foundation supported the installation of a 500 LPM oxygen plant. The plant set up at St. Theresa Hospital in Hyderabad. Mahindra Group also provided face shields, ration kits, cooked meals, face masks, PPE Kits, aerosol boxes and medical equipment.

Mahindra Group has set up 23 oxygen plants and donated 94 ambulances across 19 states in India. In addition to its commitment of substantial funds across India to address the pandemic. The Group supported government’s relief efforts. Also re-engineered production lines and facilities to manufacture face shields, face masks and aerosol boxes. And also provided ICU beds, emergency cab services, quarantine centers, oxygen-on-demand, monetary support and dry rations for the underprivileged.
