Jason Holder played good innings but not match wining

Bowlers performed brilliantly with the ball. The first wicket brought a good momentum going for India as Washington Sundar also picked two wickets after Mohammed Siraj brought first breakthrough. This put pressure on the West India and wickets keep on falling, the way captain Rohit Sharma wanted. Yuzvendra Chahal bowled a very good spell. India smells victory too soon after knowing Jason Holder played good innings in the first ODI, but not a match winning knock. The first ODI (One-Day-International), a day-night match though without crowd support keeps India on top. A score or target not threatening as India can chase down easily. Rohit Sharma will be happy to win the ODI even though played in India and against West Indies.

West Indies not ranked as a better team since more than couple of decades. Cricket moved from the hands of West Indies since the 1990s towards Australia, England and India. Currently top four cricket teams around the World are Australia, Pakistan, India and England. New Zealand also not so far to be one of the best cricket teams. However, in today’s ODI match, Rohit Sharma also did couple of good reviews, which went in favor of India. One of the reviews was the decision of Virat Kohli, who went near to Rohit Sharma. He told Rohit Sharma that the ball nicked the bat too after Rishabh Pant remained silent. Rohit Sharma listened to Virat Kohli. Jason Holder played good innings, and still India’s win probability stands at 80%. This means India starts the ODI series with a big win.

The fall of wickets after first at 13 runs

Holding the West Indies together with Fabian Allen, Jason Holder fought hard. He can’t take the match away from India as India’s batting always so strong since couple of decades. Couple of top bowlers also not playing for India in this ODI series, but India still on strong position. After the fall of first wicket at the score of just 13 runs, West Indies lost two more wickets quickly. 44/2, 45/3, and so then again 71/4, 71/5, 78/6 and 79/7.

The partnership between Jason Holder and Fabian Allen given West Indies something of a fighting total to fight. This total is fighting but not a winning score. Indeed, India liked to put a lot pressure on West Indies, but Jason Holder played good innings. West Indies was in deep trouble, but some runs on the board maybe not enough too.

Fabian Allen caught and bowled by Washington Sundar. The 78 runs partnership ended. The game is on, but a winning probability for India is just too much. It’s about 80% now. However, a couple of quick wickets if India gives away, then the ODI match will not be one sided, and at the end, still India likely to win. West Indies 176/10 ends the innings without playing full quota of 50 overs. Jason Holder scored 57 off 71 balls. Read our other posts too for more details or information. Interesting! Right?
