No, a few Muslim women wear hijab or scarf in France. They’re not forced to remove their hijab. Also a large number of Muslim women prefer not to wear hijab.

School uniform still visible and just the head covered to hide the hair with hijab or scarf. The hijab covers the hair. That’s what some people do not understand.
