The Telangana State high court orders referring as section 12(9) of the IGST Act, says Ola WIFI not legal. The Ola driver partners have one thing to do, to provide transportation services to Ola’s customers. But in doing so Ola drivers do independent driving too. This means the issue arises from somewhere, which a report suggests Ola needs to adopt the rule of the land.
A note worth to clarify that Ola’s drivers have to options one for working for Ola and the other independently. In both cases GST is applicable. However, the report, which claims Telangana State high court to remand Ola on what issue is still unclear. Ola charges for all the passenger transportations have increased a lot. There’s no vehicle of Ola including autos, mini cabs or bikes charging more.
This order if comes in anyway to trap Ola service to include GST with the IGST Act, then the transportation charges would further increase. Earlier, Ola service was regarded as one of the cheapest transportation, which allowed even vehicle owners to leave their vehicles at homes and take Ola rides.
In short, it’s rectified that whatever the Telangana State high court demands Ola services, there will be hike in transportation charges. This hike in transportation charges for the Ola passengers or customers, would further empty the pockets of the common man.
