It was told so on TOI that on Sunday the security team likely to inspect the arrangements ahead of England’s 7 T20I match tour to Pakistan. However, England touring Pakistan to play 7 T20Is confirmed as another report comes to our notice.
Pakistan since decades have problems of security issues. The Sri Lankan team was just fortunate to escape an attack, which was not yet known who was involved. However, the West Indies and Australia cricket boards have no issues so far. The Australian cricket team visited Pakistan and enjoyed playing there even after New Zealand opted out at the last minute to play in Pakistan. England followed up New Zealand and cancelled touring Pakistan without inspecting the situation in Pakistan. This made Pakistan again a victim of security issues.
New Zealand was in Pakistan for about a week. They cancelled playing cricket at the time of the schedule of their cricket matches to start with the first one. This was shocking to many cricket experts, who believed there was something “fishy”. New Zealand team told media that they have to leave Pakistan even after enjoying their stay for about a week. This prompted former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to make a call to the New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. She told security issue is a major cause of concern, and she did not want to take a risk.
A big loss for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and that also hurt thousands of Pakistani diehard cricket fans. Many fans were too much shocked that they started lamenting a lot by saying New Zealand played with their hearts rather than playing cricket in Pakistan.
The good days now back in Pakistan as two days earlier to the visit of five member team of security personnel, the England touring Pakistan confirmed.
