Ravi Shastri looks clueless and then smiled off recently when Wasim Akram raised this issue. Ravi Shastri and Wasim Akram, both as Shaz and Waz in a show aired on Aug 23, still streaming on Hotstar. Many questions asked and answered, but Waz asked few questions to Shaz. Shaz didn’t asked any question though he’s on the same side, where Waz is, on the show. The lady Hotstar anchor Mayanti Langer, happy to be with the two legends. Meanwhile, it’s good to know, there’s dew factor no issue in UAE, anymore this season for the T20 Asia Cup 2022.

With just a day or a T20 #AFGvsSL match in between, cricket fans looking forward for a win to their respective countries. “It’s just the game of cricket, nothing more than that agrees both Shaz and Waz. They both say, one or the other team wins or loses. A winner and a loser will be there at the end, so enjoy the game.

Wasim Akram as Waz adds up further by saying. “As long as the cricket fans enjoy the game, it’s enough, but remember one team will be the loser. And we still never know who would be the loser or the winner”. However, Mayanti Langer, so optimistic that she quickly takes away the word boring.

She looks forward to entertain as many cricket fans as possible by hinting that this game of cricket, #IndvsPak will be the BIG match. There maybe at least two #IndvsPak T20Is in the Asia Cup 2022, possibly.

Coming back to the dew factor issue

The problem in the last year’s T20 World Cup was almost every team, who won the toss went on to win the match in the UAE, and Oman. T20 World Cup, last year started on Oct 17, 2021 and ended on Nov 14, 2021. The season between mid October to mid November usually has dew late after the sunset. This isn’t a major issue if a side batting first scores more than 180. A par score is always calculated in such conditions. The par score, batting first is 190 plus.

This time, the Asia Cup started in August and ends in September, and so weather would be too much hot. In the evening, around 6: pm (UAE), sunlight starts to shade away, and a bit of humidity will be there. Humidity would be almost same in all the 3 hours of T20 cricket match.

Yes, earlier, Ravi Shastri looked clueless when Wasim Akram raised the dew factor issue. But immediately, he said, it’s a good question and this can put pressure on the team batting first. The wet ball would be the key for the slow bowlers to bowl badly. However, one can go through the conditions this season. Yes, the T20Is played a bit earlier than the last year. Reading the weather conditions and the pitch report, any captain would like to chase.

A team batting first, would find dew factor no issue at all if the team scores 190 plus. 190 plus is a par score in the Asia Cup 2022. Go this way or change the ball every two overs.
