Umran Malik strong ODI debut as Deepak Chahar to comeback

Umran Malik strong ODI, Variations will be there, India hopes Umran Malik, India eyes Umran Malik, Captain Hardik Pandya, Umran Malik Fastest Bowler, Irfan Pathan, 153kmph, IPL 2021, SRH

India lost to New Zealand in the ODI series opener as young 23 year old Umran Malik bowled just as expected from him. He was brought in the 11th over and started nicely, bowling at a speed of 145 to 153kmph. Arshdeep Singh also was another ODI debutant for India. But Umran Malik strong ODI debut was the highlight as he picked 2 top order wickets of New Zealand. He bowled a beauty to Devon Conway and another just hurried on Daryl Mitchell as the latter mishits. Up goes high the ball in the deep point. Deepak Hooda (Sub) did no mistake to take an easy catch.

With another wicket-taker Shardul Thakur bowling nicely, initially, India was missing a sixth bowler in the playing 11. Thakur picked one big wicket of Finn Allen, and that was all as New Zealand from there never looked back. India scored a match-winning score of 306 for the loss of seven wickets as a solid cameo by Washington Sundar helped India in the end. However, Shikhar Dhawan have to play with just five bowlers without any sixth bowling option. It looks both Deepak Hooda and Deepak Chahar likely to comeback in the team for the second ODI.

Deepak Hooda in place of Yuzvendra Chahal and Deepak Chahar without Mohammed Siraj in the squad likely to comeback. He would replace Arshdeep Singh if a brave decision would be made. That’s the situation right here for India to level the ODI series on Nov 27, Sunday. New Zealand is up 1-0 with an easy and comfortable victory over India in the first ODI of the 3 match series.
