Other than Afghanistan and Sri Lanka with India include Bangladesh as one of the top Asian teams to withdraw from Asia Cup 2023. India is eyeing a defeat to Pakistan to not host Asia Cup entirely with support of three other nations.
Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh also would pullout if PCB chairperson Ramiz Raja sticks to his words. His words fairly claim that this time Asia Cup hosting rights holds Pakistan. “If India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka would not visit Pakistan for Asia Cup, then it’s their wish”. Says Ramiz Raja. He adds up by saying we will also pullout.
Meanwhile, few other words by #RamizRaja also goes likewise what #PakistanCricket and fans keep saying: “We have we will”. However, India currently have more rights over Asia Cup since this time, ACC’s president is Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary.
An alternate solution would be like Asia Cup will be hosted by Pakistan and in Pakistan. But few of the ODI Asia Cup matches would be played in the UAE, where India would play. That will be another story, which would not likely to be logical enough. Yet, if this way, with India include Bangladesh or two other teams to pullout, then Asia Cup would not take place anywhere. Pakistan would then won’t participate in anymore Asia Cup tournaments in future.
