At least 60 people died, more than 150 injured due to Peshawar suicide bomb attack at a Mosque in Pakistan. Pakistan losing a lot in terms of rise of poverty, rise of prices, the depleting economy, and so on. When Peshawar blast happened, it was something as coincidence, where BCCI already cancelled visiting Pakistan, few months back. Now that it’s up to NZCC (New Zealand Cricket Council) to decide whether to visit Pakistan to play cricket or not. Some reliable sources claim that since Pakistan is in trouble, New Zealand to cancel tour of Pakistan will be very much unlikely.

On the other hand, India’s media highlighting the Peshawar blast or terrorist attack in Pakistan to support BCCI’s earlier decision. BCCI would notice that if anything comes more out of the unreasonable terrorist attack, it was what favors their decision to opt out of playing Asia Cup in Pakistan. The blast, however considered nothing to do with or for people to cancel visiting Pakistan. Such blasts or terrorist attacks do happen, just everywhere in the World.

The Mosque in Peshawar destroyed a bit and people died, injured. So many similar attacks happen, not frequently but anywhere in the World. The World need to support the sufferings of the country due to the sufferings of the people there because of such attacks. This doesn’t impact New Zealand or any other cricket team, visitors to cancel touring Pakistan.

It would be good if more other cricket boards allow their cricket teams to visit Pakistan, more often. Pakistan on the whole, is a safe and beautiful country to visit. It’s safer than before and much safe like New Zealand itself. So, New Zealand to cancel tour of Pakistan due to Peshawar blast is unlikely.

The best reason for New Zealand to continue playing in Pakistan would be to not tamper their cricket schedule anymore. This is so because New Zealand scheduled to play 5 ODIs and 5 T20Is in Pakistan. And this would help them to prepare for the World Cup 2023 to be played in India few months later. New Zealand will play cricket in Pakistan, which is just couple of months away. The 5 match T20I series starting first, from April 13, and then the 5 match ODI series to start from April 26.
