Australia Reach Par Score, But…

The seventh wicket partnership between P. Cummins and P. Handscomb have rescued Australia. Australia reach par score in their first innings of the second BGT test match. Shami picked 4, Jadeja 3 and Ashwin 3 wickets for India to bowl out Australia.

There was a bit of a downfall for Australia since Usman Khawaja got out on 81. Wickets fell at regular intervals as Mohammed Shami and Ravichandran Ashwin bowled well along with Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja.

Australia lost T. Head at 108, where India was on top as 4 top wickets were picked just too early. It looked Australia couldn’t reach even 220. But P. Handscomb scored a fighting fifty plus score along with Cummins for Australia. The game is still on.

It’s Australia Reach Par Score This Time

Australia reach par score in their first innings to put pressure on India. India on the other hand were clueless and at 227, Cummins takes the review for an LBW. The onfield decision stays, and since no bat involved, he was given out with 4 reds.

The seventh wicket partnership ends. India still fighting hard. Next man, T. Murphy walks in and tries his best to support the set batter P. Handscomb.

3 good innings so far, played in the Australian first innings. By Khawaja, Handscom, and by Cummins. Soon, T. Murphy was bowled by a beauty by R. Jadeja. Game over as it looks, but Australia scored some runs to play with, which has put India in a bit of pressure to score more to take even a slender lead.

India always looked to bowl out Australia on a paltry total to take at least a 100 run lead by scoring just about 300. This didn’t happened and also no team, India or Australia, so far in the driver’s seat. Both have equal chances and the win probability favors both teams at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi. Second Test seems to be a hard fought battle as home side dominated the visitors in the first.

Since Australia reach par score of 263/10 (All-out), India have to bat for at least 120 overs, which looks a daunting task.
