Manipur is a Northeast Indian state renowned for its intricate social and political landscape. Throughout the years, the region has witnessed bouts of violence and unrest, propelled by factors like ethnic tensions, insurgency movements, and calls for increased autonomy. The never ending Manipur violence, in the current times, which has persisted for over two months, is attributed to the present government.
Who can deny the fact that people are just demanding their rights, and this time, it is not a communal violence. However, about 200 people including women and children killed so far, and many, about 300 people injured. It’s very sad to know.
Historically, major issues in Manipur include recognition of indigenous people’s rights, concerns over migration from other parts of India, and the presence of armed groups involved in separatist movements. These issues have led to clashes between communities, security forces, and armed groups, causing violence and instability in the state.
Women are left with no sanitary pads, and people demanding to obtain their basic needs. Nothing listened so far by the current govt of BJP. This is a major issue, one and all should support the people of Manipur, wholeheartedly.
It’s again BJP losing in providing benefits to the poor. Poor are becoming more poor, and rich becoming more rich, this way divide and rule policy is hurtful. Everything, which come to affect the poor and the middleclass would not be noticed.
People across other parts of India, are not bothered about the never ending Manipur violence. Also, because of the policies of divide and rule, played coolly this time again, but people are deprived of their rights. No promises fulfilled, but the promises made to divide people, aren’t helpful although fulfilled.
