While reports coming in that BIG players like Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi would be dropped, there’s another foul-cry. Shan Masood have said to have revealed that the pitch behavior, and the let stop to let go and play, brought-down Pakistan to the knees. Pakistan lost their first-ever Test match to the former minnow team Bangladesh. History created and Pakistan yet again lost a Test match at home. Since over 3 years Pakistan have not won a Test-series at home.
Babar Azam, a big player would be replaced by Abrar Ahmed, a newcomer and a spinner. On the other hand Mir Hamza would replace Shaheen Afridi. The TWO BIG changes would not help Pakistan to become a strong team. However, changes have to be made and Babar and Shaheen needs to go. Both players aren’t performing to their potential. Shan Masood also wasn’t batting too good as a captain in whatever batting time was allowed to him during his career as a batter and now as a captain. He blamed the pitch behavior.
The match-referee started the Pakistan innings in a what would be called as a moist pitch. From there Pakistan lost early wicket. But then, Pakistan was so optimistic that they declared their innings at 448 for the loss of SIX wickets. However, when Bangladesh started their batting, they played well and the pitch too. Later, Pakistan in their second innings bundled out for 146. A target of 30 runs was so easy for any team to chase in this yet again batting track for yet another Test in Pakistan. All said than done.
Now Pakistan needs to level the Test-series. They’re desperate to win the second and last or final Test match of the Bangladesh-Pakistan Test-series. The 2 match Test-series would see couple of new faces in the final Test, which would be the second one for Pakistan or a second chance to showcase their skills. Pitch behavior was not much favourable to Pakistan.
