Jay Shah As Chairman Of ICC Breaks Silence On ICT 2025

Jay Shah As Chairman Of ICC Breaks Silence On ICT 2025

Among the big teams, who qualified, Pakistan’s turn comes come 2025 to host the ICC Champions Trophy (ICT). Cricket returned to Pakistan after a long gap. Even if Pakistan might become a top team on paper in sometime, the onus is that, Pakistan is limited with not much to gain. Jay Shah as chairman of ICC at present might not turn the table in favor of Pakistan including India’s visit. Even if it’s an ICC event the cricket world would not see India visiting the host nation to play the Champions Trophy. This is so because of two different foreign policies between the two neighboring countries.

It’s not that what Pakistan would like would happen. It’s like what India and Jay Shah as chairman of ICC would like to. The silence of Jay Shah seems to be broken by and then it is what it would be.

The Qualified CT 2025 Teams

  • Afghanistan
  • Australia
  • Bangladesh
  • England
  • India
  • New Zealand
  • Pakistan (Host)
  • South Africa.

Cricket in Pakistan is what the PCB likes, and no cricket in Pakistan is what the BCCI likes. This is the most untouched thought that would not come in the minds of many. Time and again, Pakistan and India produces talented cricketers, but to take the back seat in cricket not at all liked by the people of these nations.

It’s understandable that there’s enmity between the two nations, and the way Pakistan players were kicked off from playing in IPL 2009 says a lot about politics in sports too. However, moving forward, India and Pakistan played cricket in India in 2012-2013. Still the ban in IPL not revoked. This means BCCI doesn’t want PCB to grow and they think it would be PCB when it matters. When it matters would not be possible since PCB have to become top in the world and then PCB would do the same or it would remain as a question. All depends upon politics from here on. Depends upon the leaders of both countries.

So, it’s justified that what India doing at present would be what Pakistan would do in the future if Pakistan would be at India’s place.

What Jay Shah As Chairman Would Do

Jay Shah is born and brought up in the same group of BJP leadership, where BJP’s Home Minister Amit Shah is his father. The BJP plays with the minds of the people by pointing at Pakistan in any which way to come up to save their corrupt faces. Jay Shah with the same mind-set would likely to repeat the last year’s Asia Cup played in a hybrid model in which India’s games were played in Sri Lanka.

India with huge number of population and a big nation compared to the neighbor, considers the latter as the arch-rival in just everything. Sports rivalry is good and such games create hype and build atmosphere to be watched everytime and played with all efforts. Fans leave everything and watch India and Pakistan play cricket. That is the bonus. But a man with that mind of negativity, which can keep others amused by criticism for everything, would remain the same even if he be made a King, and so is the case for Jay Shah.
