Hyderabad April 22: India’s Flipkart, the largest online marketplace e-commerce player launched their Data-Center today. Flipkart announced this mega launch and investment in Telangana to strengthen technology and infrastructure. This is Flipkart’s second Data-Center in the country and the first in the State of Telangana. The Data-Center was inaugurated by Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary IT and Commerce, Government of Telangana State.
With the presence of Flipkart Group’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Mr. Rajneesh Kumar Data-Center has been built. And in partnership with Mr. Sridhar Pinnapureddy, CEO of CtrlS, wh was also present on the occasion.
About Flipkart Data-Center
Flipkart’s new Data center is a part of one of the largest private cloud deployments in the country. This will help strengthen their growing marketplace in e-commerce business across India. This will further enhance the company’s ability to bring in more sellers and MSMEs to the platform and cater to more consumers in the country. The facility has been designed to be Tier-4 rated, most of the power consumed is fulfilled by renewable energy. And it is also one of the most energy efficient Data-centers in India with a low overall PUE.
Telangana State Government’s Support
Speaking on the launch, Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Flipkart said about the Data-Center’s launch. Our new data-center in Hyderabad is a testimony of our investment in the ecosystem and the state.

We are determined to continue growing the business and create a viable ecosystem for MSMEs, local manufacturers and in the process create quality local jobs.”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary IT & Commerce, Government of Telangana said in detail. He told, “Telangana is the first state to come out with a dedicated policy. He upon the data centers said that he saw great encouraging results, which are very satisfying for all”. Mr. Jayesh Ranjan further added.

Ranjan welcomed Flipkart and their team as they will establish their first data center in the State. He was happy with their investment and commitment to the business for further strengthening Telangana State. It was good to know as the first choice of IT and Tech companies, Telangana State joins hands with Flipkart. The technology infrastructure support we have created in Telangana in collaboration with the industry allows for stronger technology solutions. This big step will support for various businesses as well and will provide a better future for the youth.”
