What the governments of various States doing seems to be playing games by banning Gutkha but not its Sales. Yes, this product is sold in large numbers on higher prices by the pan shops. Even they sell it openly in Telangana State but in Maharashtra it’s sold secretly.

Why ban Gutkha to show the kindness to the families of the consumers of this highly injurious to health product?

How Gutkha Gets Prepared

When a team of experts visited the Gutkha factory, as it’s told to us that they found a large room in which Gutkha material kept. Where they were shocked to know that lizards and cockroaches found and that material then pulled over onto the machine. The machine used to make equal quantities of Gutkha been made in small packets along with all grinding lizards etc. Packed in packets irrespective of the lizards and other insects seems to be included in, they make Gutkha ready for sale. It then transported secretly and through several step by step process comes to the pan shop owners. They sell it on higher rates as they purchase on bulk with a bit higher rate as it’s legally not allowed to be sold. Customers are happy to buy it on whatever rate the pan shop owners propose.

Gutkha is the main cause of highly dangerous diseases including cancer. People as such habituated to it even don’t bother to see some extra things in the Gutkha along with tobacco and nuts. They simply throw those things, which could be dried lizard crumbs and start chewing and they enjoy. But, in fear of affecting with huge health problems, they manage with because they’re habituated.

How Government Benefits

Hospitals make money and the government get benefited. Cancer patients are mostly Gutkha chewers and they feel the pain when they come to know what they’ve done. They used be inclined towards this habit that they don’t worry of the outcome. And later they realize after being affected with mouth cancer etc.

If government had banned this product they should ban it completely and without taking benefits out of it. When they know the game of Gutkha is open secret and it also benefits the government. Then for the sake of better health of the youth the government should behave righteously.
