Narendra Modi liable to get punished under section 500 IPC

Agrawal, a petitioner already wrote a letter of warning to the PM Narendra Modi on Apr 10 and May 6. In his letter he said Modi should not speak in such ‘defamatory’ language. It’s a crime to say in public or on any occasion against a dead former Prime Minister, it’s reported.

Later, Agrawal filed a complaint to the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Rouse Avenue Courts New Delhi. He alleged that it was a ‘clear cut case of criminal defamation under Section 499 IPC. Narendra Modi made a big mistake and he is liable to be punished under Section 500.

Agrawal also said in his complaint that persons connected to late Rajiv Gandhi calling Modi’s remarks as extremely derogatory. He also pointed out that the words from Modi were defamatory remarks. And will continue to hurt the feelings of crores of Indians who heard Modi’s speech.

The petitioner had sought registration of his complaint and recording the evidence.

Including Modi, he has also made Chanakya Police Station, New Delhi as a respondent in this filed case.

The case is likely to be heard on Monday in the CMM , Rouse Avenue Courts.
