Bangladesh off to good start after fielding first against West Indies

What Bangladesh used to be called over a decade back as the minnows in world cricket. They utilized the conditions well by opting to bowl first after winning the toss. However, West Indies are aware of their game plans and would play good cricket. Though they might have lost the wicket of Chris Gayle in the first five overs they’ll strengthen their batting. They’ll be cautious for about first 20 overs then they can make full use of the batting track.

A wicket or two in the first 20 overs will not bother the West Indies as they look for scoring over 280. The decision by Bangladesh captain is not better one but it’s good that they’re a bit defensive initially.

However, the likes of Andrew Russell and Shai Hope in middle order and top order can bolster West Indian batting. Still the game is on. And it will be good to watch how Bangladesh builds their innings to chase when they bat.

The more there can be defensive mode the more it will comeback to you as Bangladesh and West Indies look defensive. But, the West Indians look to attack the bad balls and can take calculative risks as they lost just one wicket.

It seems yet another match will be decided through the poor decision of fielding first. Meanwhile, Bangladesh off to good start after winning the toss might keep the fans glued to this game. Again it looks as if they’d have done well even though had they lost the toss. Which means West Indies also wanted to field first had they won the toss.
