India’s income tax officials are troubled with taxing issues. Narendra Modi govt forces them to collect 17 percent more direct taxes in 2019 itself but failed them to show how? He wants the economy that shattered by demonetization and GST imposition to get back in “working condition”. Though Mr Narendra Modi didn’t explained the income tax officials to do the same in which way, he just ordered them. This in return made some of the officials to resign from their respective posts.

 

There’s a sharp economic slowdown after the abrogation of article 370. The armed forces in Kashmir has to be dealt with their daily routine of being on high alert every moment. Their ration money also can’t be maintained by the govt as such the armed forces also are wary.

 

In a magical way, Narendra Modi set the target for income tax department after approving a massive cut in corporate taxes. The Prime Minister also warned officers for not harassing businesses in their process to collect revenue. However, it’s confusing issue and that led many senior income tax officers to quit.

 

The officers when asked by the media told that they’re helpless with the imposition of unrealistic drive. The targets set by the PM are baseless and can only be achieved with some miracles.

Income Tax Policy of Modi

Critics suggested that Narendra Modi’s decisions are deemed for shortcuts to overcome his “misdeeds”. He has played all the time with the minds of the people of India with divide and rule policy. But now he wants to show the people that he do care about economic growth as well.

 

Mr Bhaskar Bhattacharya, Vice President of the income tax Gazetted Officers Association briefed with his data. He lamented that over 22 top level tax department officers took voluntary retirements. And around 34 retired in the same way last year. This shows Narendra Modi’s mismanagement of ruling the country towards progress. Moreover, many applications one by one coming from various senior officials for voluntary retirements will not benefit India. Even seasoned officers contradict over Narendra Modi govt’s new games. And they could not take the pressures anymore.
