Kane Williamson is unlucky captain for New Zealand?

Looking at the recent history of matches lost under Kane Williamson’s captaincy as Kiwis notched up big victory today. Yes, they won Wednesday’s ODI match against India but without Kane playing for Kiwis. And there’s no doubt that he lost many matches with his unlucky captaincy. He worked hard & batted well and captained New Zealand close to victories but lost matches at last moment.

Does Kane Williamson deserve unlucky tag for if he’s not available to play New Zealand wins. On Wednesday India lost because of him not playing.  

In the T20s also few days back, New Zealand was whitewashed by India. And India defeated Kiwis at the last moments of last three T20s. India will bounce back again as they did against the Aussies. They’ll do so when Williamson comes back. This means the latter is unlucky for sure. It will be disheartening for the New Zealand fans but it’s the fact but not to be taken seriously.

Williamson has a challenging task ahead with second ODI between New Zealand & India will be played soon. If India knocks the Kiwis down with a series leveling win then whom to be blamed. In the recent ODI World Cup also Kane Williamson was proved as unlucky.

Looking forward Indian team after losing the first ODI will definitely fight back and push Kane Williamson’s side on back foot. Series victory for India is important rather than losing a single match and get their morale down. Virat Kohli must be thinking optimistically to win the remaining ODIs against the Kiwis.
