Dozens of people in Hyderabad died, from Bandlaguda to Falaknuma and in many other flooded areas. It was reported that Telangana rescue operations including NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) started to help poor people. Some people rescued along with their stuck vehicles in the rain hit Hyderabad. Also gates of Hussain Sagar (Tank Bund) opened as heavy rain lashes Hyderabad. This is the first time since over 40 years. Heavy rain continuously damaging homes and commercial properties including deaths as reported to be over 10.
Number of deaths reported as 10 is only a number but huge damage includes more people troubled. Their homes and businesses damaged. Trees uprooted in many areas of Hyderabad.
Not to Blame gov’t for minor Rescue Operations?
Reportedly, it was good that rescue operations started as it was expected. However, people of many areas claimed that their damages including homes and businesses needs to be addressed. Many trees uprooted in Hyderabad, causing power cut since more than 24 hours. The gov’t of Telangana State needs to do more than a lesser effort of the so called rescue operations. The operations are termed so, only to come in the news.
And they’re not doing so at their best of the abilities. Only few areas, that too in the old city covered so far. How long the drama of rescuing goes on? Many people in Hyderabad in deep trouble. Will the gov’t repair their homes and damaged businesses?
No, it’s not good to blame the gov’t. Their limit is beyond their reach, which means that their limit is less. And from their short limit, the limit of social activists starts. And the social workers doing great efforts.
The gov’t of Telangana State including the NDRF team doing their duty. Their duty is just show off. And that needs to be appreciated? Hope, people get saved from disasters.
