Mohammad Wasim Jr is ruled out of the T20 Asia Cup, finally. He was injured in the net practice session. Earlier, it was reported that he had to undergo MRI scan. Just few minutes ago, Pakistan media reported that Hasan Ali replaces the injured fast bowler and a very good bowling allrounder. Hasan Ali is also yet another bowling allrounder, but Mohammad Wasim Jr is better than him in terms of both bowling and batting. However, Pakistan team’s medical staff in Dubai confirmed that Wasim Jr is unfit to play. He’s later ruled out from the entire Asia Cup.
Hasan Ali is fully fit and also was busy playing domestic cricket. His recent performance without doubt too good and Pakistan team finds him as a perfect replacement for Wasim Jr. Meanwhile, it’s worth to note that Hasan Ali was a failure in the last year’s T20 World Cup. However, he worked hard and has been performing as expected from him. He regain his form by working upon his weaknesses. He’s doing good and would fly to the UAE. He also responded to the call, which means he’s available to play for Pakistan.
A clear message to one and all that Hasan Ali replaces Mohammad Wasim Jr, who is ruled out. But most of the Pakistani cricket fans dislike this decision. At present Hasan Ali is in Pakistan and would take an immediate flight, which also means he would miss the Aug 28 T20 match. The Aug 28 T20 match is the opening T20 Asia Cup match for both India and Pakistan.
