Sri Lanka Played This T20I Perfectly Says Pakistani Legend

Sri Lanka recently had a tough T20I game against Afghanistan. Afghanistan outplayed Sri Lanka in all departments, yet Sri Lankan captain said “there are only two world class bowlers in the Bangladeshi squad”. That looked brutal words to few Bangladeshi cricket experts. Here again he showed how a T20I game would be won. And again Pakistani legend Inzamam Ul Haq says, Sri Lanka played this T20I perfectly, and scored 184 with four balls to spare.

The Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka was looking forward to comeback by deciding to bowl after winning the toss. Sri Lanka chased easily the mammoth target of 183. That was amazing. Bangladesh batters played some shots. They played superbly until 12 overs, and lost wickets, looking forward always to score big shots. And also ended up to pile up 183. But 183 at the end looked just a fighting score, and not a winning score.

“Sri Lanka even by losing wickets, kept their scoring rate high. This brought confidence in them as the asking rate was still chasable even at the end of 18 overs”. Says Pakistani legend Inzamam Ul Haq. “They played the best or I would say, a perfect T20I game”. He added.

“There were only two big scores in the Sri Lankan innings, one of them scored 60. The other best score was by the captain, who scored 45. That’s it. No one scored more than 20. Every one were chipping in with a 12 or less than that and chased 183. That was perfect T20I cricket”. Inzamam says. “Today’s T20I match between Hongkong and Pakistan is crucial, and Pakistan needs to make couple of changes”. He adds.
