However, World football for FIFA to change or bring in few changes from next World Cup. The next FIFA football World Cup in 2026, will be hosted by United States, Mexico and Canada. Maximum matches (60) will be played in the United States. Mexico and Canada to host 10 matches each.
The likely changes would be to increase the time to about 10 mins. First half would be added with 5 additional minutes and the second half too with an additional 5 minutes. Total of 10 minutes would be added to the full time of 90 minutes. It will be of 100 minutes full time game and what’s interesting will be the strategic timeout in between both halves.
A strategic timeout of 5 minutes each in both the halves would keep the momentum in control for both playing teams. This would be advantageous to the teams playing before the World Cup too, if the World football for FIFA changes approved to begin with, this way.
Shots on target & fair-play points
Shots on target with failed attempts to score a goal because of the great saves by the goalkeeper, would be awarded with some points. If the points touch about 20 with shots on target of about 10 to 15, an unscored goal will be awarded. Fair-play points with no yellow cards also will be counted. Nothing to say, how the fair-play points would be calculated. It’s up to FIFA to make this change approved with a healthy football played in future.
Mark this important point too in your mind. FIFA benefited so far so good with use of AI. All happening so good that the time is here for FIFA to make some changes for sure.
