This time an aggressive intent to windup ODI series would help India a lot. India likely to win 2 ODIs successfully of the series of three. But captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid need to make at least ONE change to the marginal winning combination. The ODI series is in favor of India, and also it’s likely that at Raipur, the ODI series would not be levelled. New Zealand on the other hand looking to fightback to comeback in the series.
New Zealand was fortunate in the first ODI when Michael Bracewell took the game away from India for a longtime. But in the end Bracewell could not cross the line thanks to Mohammed Siraj’s wicket-taking abilities to break partnerships.
A bit risky delivery bowled by Shardul Thakur onto the legs of Bracewell, who couldn’t latch upon it. Bracewell was dismissed LBW to on the legs delivery, a yorker, but a bit lengthy, and not a lower one. That was just unfortunate for Bracewell to get out that way.
India is up by 1 to NiL. However, a good at least ONE not so surprising change in the playing 11 would be a bit risky. But India needs to UNSETTLE New Zealand to not let the game go away a bit at anytime. If New Zealand comes back in the game to about 20%, it would be again a tight contest. India’s BENCHSTRENGTH is strong and it would be good to play Umran Malik and allow the bowling attack some luxury.
The Bottom Line: Aggressive Intent To Windup…
This ODI for India is about taking a bit of risks as another one, on Jan 24 would still be there to be played. India have to play with some aggressive intent to windup ODI series tonight in Raipur. Shubman Gill will be a worry for New Zealand again if he scores at least a 60 plus score. However, this time New Zealand would play Siraj and Kuldeep differently.
