The trespasser caught and reminded to not repeat his mistake. A Balloon seller, the resident of Mughal Pura near Guddimalkapoor of the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, M. Saleem, admitted his mistake. His mistake occured, just when he felt too much hungry. He thought to have something good, and so he kept his cycle (bike) outside the marriage hall gate. Entered the dinner hall and started eating, and it was unfortunate for him to be identified.
As the balloon seller dines in marriage party without permission, it looked reasonable for the marriage party attenders as they charged him some small amount, ₹50. That’s indeed a small amount, and a strong message (some would believe). This incident was of Aug 5 2023.
He was surprisingly told to pay the amount to complete his dinner. It looked too harsh for Saleem, the balloon seller initially, but…
The story of the Balloon seller is just another example. The Balloon seller, an old man, found himself hungry. However, he was not mistreated or abused by the people he encountered. Instead, they acknowledged his presence and recognized that he too deserved to be treated well. So, they charged him a small amount, and they did so without causing any harm or disrespect.
Again it’s worth to know that hungry people should be treated with kindness and compassion. It is a reflection of one’s character to provide sustenance to those in need, and failing to do so can be seen as selfishness. In this context, it is important not only to feed the hungry but also to treat them with dignity and respect.
It is worth pondering the reasons behind the actions of these people. Perhaps they understood that the Balloon seller was just trying to make a living, and that his livelihood depended on selling balloons. They recognized that his prices as determined by market demand and the presence of children at the entrance gates of the functions, who would surely like his colorful creations. Charging more than 600% of the actual cost of the balloons is not an act of greed, but rather a reflection of the effort and hard work he puts into his trade.
It is intriguing to consider how much money these Balloon sellers actually make. Despite the seemingly high prices they charge, it is important to remember that they are not profiting excessively. Their earnings are likely modest, as they have to cover the cost of purchasing the balloons, transportation, and other expenses associated with their small business. At the end of the day, they work tirelessly to make a living and support themselves and their families.
In a world where poverty and hunger still persist, the story of the Balloon seller serves as a reminder of the importance of empathy and understanding. It is not enough to simply provide food to those in need; we must also treat them with kindness and respect.
The Balloon seller, like many others in similar circumstances, deserves our appreciation and support. By acknowledging their struggles and treating them as fellow human beings, we can create a more compassionate and inclusive society.
That’s all well said, but the question of charging a small vendor such as a balloon seller even if by a small amount needs answers. He was charged ₹50 for completing his dinner, which could have costed around ₹500 per person. But it’s still questionable and it’s not a good act because by knowing who the person is, why teach a lesson. There might be some people who are fed up of these trespassers.
