Muslims offered prayers to mark Shab e-Meraj (Spiritual night in Islamic calendar but is false belief and innovation by some section of Muslims). Without knowing Islam correctly, many Muslims were seen praying at Historic Makkah Masjid in old city of Hyderabad on Wednesday.
It was the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and ascent into heaven, sometime back according to Islamic history. However, it was never mentioned in any Hadeeth book or the Glorious Qura’n to worship during this night and be awake.
Ignorant Muslims before offering prayers to mark Shab e-Meraj don’t know that the night is only popular in India. Without proper knowledge of Islam Muslims in India keep themselves awake every year during this night. In Islam the nights, where you need to be awake and worship are only during Ramadan. And that too in the last ten days of the Holy month of Ramadan.
Knowledge of Islam in a correct way needs to be known even if you’re a born Muslim. It’s also not good for non Muslims to learn from other Muslims. They need to learn authentic translation of the glorious Qura’n and Hadiths like Sahi Bukhari to begin with. And to know Islam rightly.
