The Telangana government’s prestigious project, Mission Bhagiratha, has been settled for Maharashtra on drinking water. In every summer, there will be severe water shortage in the Marathwada region of the state.

Drinking water problem

As a result, people are suffering a lot. Last year, the railway tankers were unable to provide drinking water. The government has been alerted by experts’ suggestions that the situation will continue to increase in the coming days.

The first step was to prepare a solution to the problem of drinking water. Everybody in Telangana took inspiration from Mission Bhagiratha. The project like Bhagiratha needs a start in Marutava also.

State government, which has already reviewed Mission Bhagiratha project design has now sent a team of engineers. Maharashtra’s Minister (Drinking Water and Sanitation Department) Member Secretary with a team of four engineers went to the field survey of Mission Bhagiratha Project.

Importance of Bhagiratha Project

The Maharashtra team examined sections of the pumping station along with Intel. Chief Engineer Cheena Reddy informed them about the details of the project. The Maharashtra team said it had never seen such a bigger investment. They praised the project as well. Maharashtra’s engineers went to Gourdevipilli from where the huge water purification center was built. Chief Engineer Chanda Reddy explained the technical aspects of the drinking water in the area in which Sarapara is described.

The GLBs were built by the Maharashtra authorities who built a small hill near the Gudipalli hill. It is a great thing to put the pipeline on the huge hill. Chief Engineer Cheena Reddy, Chief Executive Officer of Maharashtra, Chandrakant, and other prominent persons participated in the mission.
