Haleem is called Daleem by some Haleem outlets in India to serve better

The urge to rename Haleem as Daleem has been on since more than three years. Some Muslims want the hot favorite Ramadan delicacy to be called as Daleem. The reason they represent is about one of the attributes of the Almighty, which is Haleem, and that is dishonored. They use to keep on saying with examples such as “Haleem is salty”, “Haleem is cold” and so on. Every Muslim should avoid calling the bestseller food item as Haleem, instead they can call it Daleem and that’s not hurting.

Some outlets, who serve this bestseller food item started already by naming it as Daleem. And with their explanation to create a new form of advertising, they currently selling it as Daleem.

Haleem or Daleem?

Many Islamic groups in India also condemned the way Haleem been called instead of Daleem. Moreover, they logically say that Daleem is made from Dallia and so it should be called as Daleem and not Haleem. Accordingly the origin of Haleem is Daleem, which will not hurt the sentiments of some Muslims. On the other hand, there are 99 names of Almighty, where one of the name being Haleem. With regard not to insult the name of the Almighty, Muslims should start calling the dish as Daleem instead of Haleem. Furthermore, the scholars in India trying to build awareness of Daleem but people are used to call it Haleem.

The more you stress upon the more worse the matter could get neglected. Every year, a detailed explanation is spread among the Muslims to call Haleem as Daleem. But most of the Muslims never listen or simply forget what’s been told to them. Some Muslims started calling the hot food dish as Daleem. And intentionally avoided calling the name Haleem, which is used widely.

What’s in a name?

These scholars need to understand the intention behind calling anything as it supposed to be called. They should keep in mind that if Haleem is another name of the Almighty then that way people never mean. Simply people should know that Haleem is a food item and also the name of the Almighty. There’s no harm in both these descriptions with the same name as for calling the way it needs to be called. Instead of making people get confused by forcing them to replace calling Haleem with Daleem, they should sit and think about.

For example, if a person’s name is Rahman and he gets scolded many times for his wrongdoings. And at the same time Rahman is the name of the Creator the Almighty. That’s how it goes and with due respect the debate of changing the name of the food dish Haleem to Daleem is still on.

Finally, there’s a request to all the Muslims to call Daleem instead of Haleem, where there’s no harm at all.
