Every year Millions of Haj Pilgrims visit Saudi Arabia for Haj from around the World. Muslims from different parts of Saudi Arabia as well visit to Mecca for Haj. The Mecca people living there also do Haj. Haj is one of the five pillars of Islam and a Muslim if he or she can afford it’s obligatory for him or her.
Let’s know the five pillars of Islam:
- Believing in Oneness of God
- Offering five time prayers every day
- Keeping Fasts in Ramadan
- Giving Zakat (Charity) to help the needy
- Haj
The most important pillar in Islam is believing God as One and only Creator of the Worlds. Then follows all the four pillars. Here, pillar means the rules of Islam that needs to be followed if you are a Muslim.
Saudi Arabia is currently putting lots of effort as they do every year for a peaceful Haj for all. Since many centuries, it’s unbelievable to know that Haj is always done peacefully without any calamity. However, a few small incidents happened during the past 50 years on some occasions. This was happened not because of the huge crowd gathering but by the will of God as some people died. Their deaths were destined while performing Haj and so they died, it was believed.
