Satan (Devil) was created from fire and he was proud because of his powers that were greater than human beings. The Satan tries to misguide people and leads them to commit sins like adultery and drinking alcohol etc. When people also misguided towards disbelief of the Almighty with Satan’s misguidance, he gets shocked. Why gets shocked? Because he used to speak and knows Almighty and after seeing people’s disbelief, he flees away in awe.
Almighty let Satan free until the Day of Judgment. Therefore, his primary target become to mislead man because he wants them in hell with him.
Almighty mentioned in the Qura’n, where Satan said: “Because Almighty have sent him astray, surely, he will wait against them (human beings). Then he will come to them from before them and from behind them, from their right and from their left. And Almighty God will not find most of them as thankful ones (i.e. they will not be dutiful)” (Qura’n, Al-Aa’raf: 16,17).
Satan’s Confidence Level
Satan is overconfident and knows his victims that he can openly can execute his strategy of approaching them from all sides. Making them to commit sins with his temptations and tactics. Satan’s first victim was Adam (alaihis salam). The Almighty God says, “Then Satan made them slip there from (the Paradise), and got them out from that in which they were. Almighty said: “Get you down both Adam and Huwwa, on earth will be a dwelling place for you and an enjoyment for a short time”. (Qur’an, Sura’h Al-Baqara’h: 36).
“And an enjoyment for a short time” is what Devil (Satan) makes the most of. Devil has decided to make the world appear beautiful and attractive. The Devil works on ways to lure man, pleasures and enjoyment of this world alone. The Satan or Devil makes him or her forget the path that Almighty God showing through Holy Qur’an. Right path for better life can be found in Qura’n for all human beings during their stay in this world.
Satan’s Goal
Devil’s ultimate goal is to make people go astray and eventually to turn them into disbelievers, or polytheists at a minimum. The manner in which Devil pursues that goal varies in accordance with the interests and inclinations of his victims. However, when the Devil misguided the world’s first parents Adam and Hawwa, he was delighted. But, after seeking forgiveness from the Almighty Allah human’s first parents were forgiven by His Mercy.
