In detail of the verse in Qura’n, it is reported that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The five daily prayers are (mentioned) in the Qur’an.” And when he was asked where? He had said, “Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘So glorify Allah when you come up to the evening’, which are the prayers, maghrib and ‘isha. ‘And when you see the morning’, which’s fajr. ‘In the afternoon’ it is the prayer asr. And ‘the time when you begin to see the day declines’ is zuhr. Many other scholars such as al-Dahhaak and Sa’eed ibn Jubayr also said the same thing. About Prayers For Muslims

Some scholars had said that the verses mentioned in some part of the glorious qura’n only for four of the prayers. Isha not mentioned but it is mentioned in Soorah Hood, where Allah says “… and in some hours of the night…” [Hood 11:114]. 

Most scholars are of the first opinion. Al-Nahhaas (may Allah have mercy on him) said: That the verse: ‘So glorify Allah during the evening and during the morning…’ [al-Room 30:17] refers to the five prayers. Imaam al-Jassaas (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Allah says ‘… The prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed times [mawqootan].’ [al-Nisa’ 4:103]. ‘Abd-Allah ibn Masood said: “Mawqootan means that Salah has an appointed time just as Hajj does have.” It was then reported that Ibn Abbaas, Mujaahid and Atiyyah said that mawqootan means “It is obligatory”. Obligatory means Farz. Also the word ‘mawqootan’ means that it is obligatory at certain times. The times referred to in general terms in this verse are explained in the Qura’n without defining precisely when those times start and end.

It was explained in detail by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). What Allah mentioned about the times of the prayers in His Qura’n: “Perform al-Salaah from mid-day till the darkness of the night and recite the Qur’an in the early dawn…” [al-Isra’ 17:78]. Mujahid reported from Ibn Abbaas: “Mid-day means when the sun strikes, it’s zuhr time, and the darkness of the night means the night begins for maghrib time.” Ibn Umar meant that mid-day is the zenith of the sun to establish zuhr prayer.

Allah says, “And perform prayers at the two ends of the day and in some parts of the night” [Hood 11:114]. Amr narrated from al-Hasan that the two ends of the day means fajr at the first end and zuhr and ‘asr at the other end. Some parts of the night means maghrib and isha. Accordingly the verse refers to all five prayers. Layth narrated from Abu Ayyaad that Ibn Abbaas said: “This verse mentions all five prayers together. So glorify Allah when you come up to the evening refers to maghrib and ‘isha. ‘And when you pass through the morning refers to fajr. ‘In the afternoon’ is asr and the time when the day comes in its middle part is zuhr.  

Muslims Shouldn’t miss Prayers

The above mentioned verses and hadiths explain that all five prayers for everyday are compulsory. Means, the all five time prayers are must as such you can call the prayers as obligatory to be clear. Therefore, not a single prayer should be missed for a Muslim and for the believers. The word believers mentioned in the Qura’n many times for people, who obey Allah and His messengers. When you believe in Allah then you are not a Muslim if you don’t pray five time prayers. Believers are those Muslims, who obey the commands of Allah and glorify Him at least for five times everyday.

People think that they’re God fearing Muslims and commit no sins and associate no partners to Allah. Even then if they don’t pray five times, they are not Muslims. A Muslim should obey Allah and obey His messenger (PBUH) and be nice to his parents and relatives. In addition, he should live a peaceful life without hurting anyone on earth and should establish five time prayers. Muslims should have a good character after all and that they can get by glorifying Allah during five times a day. Reading the Qura’n for knowledge and to know Islam required for all human beings on earth.
