Schools reopened as students get lunch or mid-day meals at a govt high school in Hyderabad on Feb 1. Also students take mid-day meal at another government high school at Musheerabad on Tuesday. Schools reopened from 1st Feb 2022 in Telangana State. Pictures tell a different story, but all the students strictly following social distancing along with wearing masks. Schools reopened in most of the locations across Telangana State after the CM KCR lifted restrictions. However, some private schools still operating online classes in fear of the spread of the virus. The private school managements have valid reasons to point out. “We’ve students of all ages including 8 to 16 years in our school. They’re not vaccinated, and it’s our responsibility to take care of the students”. Went saying so. But some other private schools also strictly forcing the parents to let their kids attend schools and stopped teaching online. Here, the parents seems to be afraid of sending their wards, and looking the pandemic from the other side.

Experts say, if online-education operates nicely and students learn a bit then for sometime online-mode needs to be continued. If parents forced to send their wards to attend physical classes rather than no other option then it’s also not helpful. A period of six months from now, needs to be observed. After six months of observation, online-mode for education and work should be cancelled. This is the best way to fight against the pandemic, and keep people safe. Staying at homes has made people habituated. Time to think this way too.
