The sleuths of LB Nagar Police Station nabbed Gang involved in highly illegal fake Indian currency business. The gang of 11 men circulating the same in the market and were cheating the people. The accused were arrested at Thota Santosh Kumar’s house situated near Kalvary temple, Miyapur, Rangareddy Dist. LB Nagar Police made extreme efforts and caught the offenders along with counterfeit currency. A shocking story to know how the Police arrested fake currency maker gang of 11 men. Out of these 11 criminals, 2 men absconding and yet to be arrested.
NAME AND PARTICULARS OF THE ACCUSED:
- Venkata Krishna Reddy son of Vishwanath Reddy, Age: 22 years old. Occupation: Labor in Hotel, Residence: 4F6, 5th floor, Sindhu towers, Godavari District.
- Koduri Shiva Ganesh son of Srinivas, Age: 26 years, Occupation: Flower Decoration, Residence: 2-55, Corporation bank apartment, East Godavari District.
- Kovvuri Srinivas Reddy son of Rama Chandra Reddy, Age 51 years, Occupation: Clerk, Residence: 2-191 Gandhi Nagar Anaparthi Mandal East Godavari District.
- Srikanth Reddy son of Veera Raghava Reddy, Age 48 years, Occupation: Clerk, Residence 2-159 Kauva Street, East Godavari District.
- Nagendra Sudha Madava Reddy son of Veera Raghava Reddy, Age 45 years, Occupation: Labor, Residence: Meda Suranna Gari Street, East Godavari District.
- Sorampudi Srinivas son of Venkateshwarlu, Age: 44 years, Occupation: Labor, Residence: Ravulapalem, East Godavari District.
- Pilli Rama Krishna son of Srinu, Age: 32 years, Occupation: Auto Driver, Residence: Devi Center, Balabadrapuram, East Godavari District.
- Tota Santosh Kumar son of Venkateshwarlu, Age: 37 years old, Occupation: Driving and vegetable business, Residence: Shilpa Avenue Colony, Hyderabad.
- Peram Venkata Sheshaiah son of Aadi Sheshaiah, Age: 43 years, Occupation: Self Employee, Rented House, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Native of Nellore district.
- Nagi Reddy.

HISTORY OF THE CASE since Police arrested fake currency maker gang:
The accused Venkata Krishna Reddy acquired the knowledge of fabricating counterfeit currency from his relative. His relative, namely Srinivas Reddy previously arrested in similar counterfeit currency case at Anaparthi and Rajamundry. Thereafter, the accused also started fabricating and circulating counterfeit currency and he was fortunately, arrested at Ibrahimpatnam. The accused along with his associates started fabricating counterfeit currency of ₹100, ₹200 and ₹500.
Also the accused Nagendra to Peram (listed above) were the mediators in between the makers and end users. They used to collect ₹50,000 original Indian currency after supplying ₹1 lakh Counterfeit currency.
Also the mediators used to take ₹15000 as commission and remaining amount ₹35,000 to the makers Venkata Krishna Reddy to Srikanth Reddy (4 accused).
The 4 accused native of East Godavari relocated to Hyderabad and started counterfeit currency making in the house of Thota Santosh Kumar, situated near Kalvary temple, Miyapur. This was so because in order to easily circulate the counterfeit currency in Hyderabad city.
The LB Nagar Police arrested fake currency maker gang after the accused Mastan, who was known to be involved in a robbery case too. On interrogation, Mastan confessed robbery and he was also circulating counterfeit currency along with his associate Nagi Reddy. Crime team of LB Nagar PS made strenuous efforts and nabbed the entire gang of fabricating, supplying and circulating counterfeit currency.

The counterfeit currency notes used to be circulated in the market by cheating the public. Recently RBI has issued guidelines on identification of ₹100, ₹200 and ₹500 new notes.
