There’s a continuous debate going on at social media, particularly on Twitter, where people criticized some States. However, States not responsible for petrol price hike, but it’s the central govt, which hiked the prices just not so immediately after the elections. There was a war on the peak between Russia and Ukraine during the elections in India. But the govt waited until the elections over and also people voted BJP in large numbers. The BJP won elections in 4 out of 5 States. There was a bit of help from the EVMs, say many EVM technology experts.
The rise of fuel prices would hit people a lot. There will be further hikes in prices over various other basic needs too. Accordingly, States not responsible in the rise of prices. The govt playing tricks, and so people coming in with fictional ways to support the govt. Some people saying, “let the petrol price go up to ₹200, and I see India is in safe hands”. How come this be true? On the other side they criticize few states, where ₹10-12 cost of petrol more than BJP ruled States. So, whatever suits them to say, they say so.
They hide the fact that Mumbai petrol prices used to be more than other States before BJP govt. This is so because Mumbai, a most expensive city, and business capital of India.
Petrol Prices Before 2014
Petrol prices were just around ₹65 before 2014 and during the Manmohan Singh’s govt, where the world hit by recession. Prime Minister Mr. Singh handled well the impact of recession. Even if he hiked a bit of about 30-40 paisa on petrol, the opposition used to shout a lot. The opposition at that time was none other than BJP. Those were the days, where crimes were also lesser and India used to be a happy country.
BJP started their campaign by making false promises to say the least, “good days coming”. Still Indians have never seen those “good days”. The rise of hatred also wiped off from the minds of the people to ask for those ₹15 lakhs, which the BJP promised.
The arguments and debates going on still, when people started posting non BJP ruled States, have higher petrol prices. That’s not true. In Bhopal, petrol is expensive and all other rise of prices, rise of joblessness in India because of the BJP. The current govt, BJP is totally responsible for making India an unequal country. Bhopal’s current govt is BJP. But people criticizing Maharashtra, Delhi, and few other non BJP ruled States for the rise of fuel prices.
