The battle for super 4 in Asia Cup is between Sri Lanka, Bangladesh in one group. And in the other group the battle is on between India, Pakistan and Hongkong. Today, India plays Hongkong to secure their place in the super 4. However, can Pakistan loses out from super 4 to be eliminated from Asia Cup 2022? The question is tough to happen that way, but easy to say.
Firstly, India and Hongkong would fight hard and a close finish would raise Babar Azam’s eyebrows. India needs a win. That’s as simple as winning the Asia Cup 2022. If India thrashes Hongkong, then what? It would change the equation because Pakistan would be just a win away to be in super 4.
The equation here, also dramatically changes if India loses to Hongkong. India and Hongkong would posses points whereas pointless Pakistan desperately needs a big win against Hongkong. An upset in the #IndvsHK Asia Cup T20I would shock both India and Pakistan. #Pakistan would likely to be eliminated from the super 4.
India would be again in tight corner to watch #PakvsHK match tomorrow. Whoever then have good NRR (Net Run Rate) would be in super 4 along with #Afghanistan and Bangladesh/Sri Lanka.
