IPL franchisee Chennai Super Kings bowler Deepak Chahar was ruled out of the TATA IPL due to back injury. He was ruled out of 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Deepak Chahar missed IPL and lost more than ₹12Cr. One of the few top cricket players to miss IPL because of injury. However, his comeback was phenomenal.
Chahar bowled as one of the match winners during South Africa tour of India in the first T20I game. However, Chahar was one of the very few players to miss the cash rich tournament, IPL. There are few others too, but not so many. Also, so many Indian cricketers time to time rested in the series after series and so many were also injured to not play tournaments.
Indian cricketers need to play IPL to help their playing skills like catching, hitting boundaries, bowling Yorkers and so on. Here, in the context of Deepak Chahar missed IPL to lose huge money, but not so many players opt out from IPL. They play IPL and get injured to not play for India. This is something, which displeases cricket fans.
Earlier, in the first T20I #INDvSA Deepak Chahar bowled 4 overs, picked two crucial wickets. In his full quota of 4 overs, he looked awesome, given away just 24 runs at an economy of 6. Arshdeep Singh was the top wicket taker, but he bowled at an economy of 8. However, he picked three big wickets and given away 32 runs in his full quota of 4 overs.
Arshdeep Singh deserved the man of the match and he’s consistently bowling well. So much effort playing for India? No, players who play for India will be sold on a high price in IPL or keep earning same huge money if the IPL franchisee retains them.
Deepak Chahar missed IPL & more
Deepak Chahar is one of the very few players to miss the cash rich tournament, IPL. There are few others too, to note, but from the other sides. Time to time, in every IPL a few foreign players either skip some IPL games or opt out completely due to national duties. However, India’s few top players unfortunately miss playing for team India and comeback strong to play IPL season after season.
“The strategy seems like play for India to earn fame and then get sold on a high price to play IPL season after season”. These are the claims of few experts, which might be not true. Every player wants to play for the country. Representing the country is much more dearer because of this, players feel proud of. An honor to play for the country is much more than earning huge money by playing in IPL.
Meanwhile, one could name very few Indian players, who retire from IPL at the age of 35 or less. They continue playing IPL if they do good and do earn more without thinking more about young players to get the opportunities. Young players also want to appear in IPL first.
Ultimate reason here is to appreciate Deepak Chahar, who genuinely missed IPL 2022 and is very good bowler. He tries his best for India to win cricket matches. His role in all departments shouldn’t be ruled out. He deserves to play #T20WorldCup and so few other players too.
Unfortunately, Bumrah was also ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to his back injury. He’s the one, who plays good cricket always and brings India back in every game. His injury, taking time to get him recover, but it’s likely that Umran Malik will be a surprise inclusion as a replacement for Bumrah. There will be no Mohammed Siraj, but possibly Mohammed Shami, which will be another surprise.
